Counseling Services

Are you in Virginia and interested in counseling with me? I am a Resident in Counseling for two private practices, True North Psychological Services (https://tnpsnova.com/), where my supervisor is Dr. Jennifer Kaufman Walker, and Sparks Counseling and Wellness (https://sparkscounselingandwellness.com/), where my supervisor is Dr. Kendall Sparks.

My counseling approach combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy with self-compassion work to help people learn skills to handle difficult thoughts and feelings more effectively (thanks Russ Harris for that great synopsis of the aim of ACT!). And of course I use journaling techniques as appropriate to help people heal!
